HI,
There are two man directories on my smgl system
/usr/man and /usr/share/man.
Some spells uses "--mandir=/usr/share/man" and
some uses "--mandir=/usr/man".
I think using unified mandir is proper.
And, most spells uses defalut sysconfdir.
So, some uses /etc/$SPELL and some uses /etc.
But at many case, /etc/$SPELL is good.
Why don't you set these directory policy?
