Sorry, I forgot to say about kernel.
As you say, to use nptl, you must use 2.6.x kernel and set CONFIG_FUTEX=y.

For 2.4.x. I checked fedora's kernel SRPM. That contains..

How about using these patches?

That spell uses xdelta now. I want sorcery to be added a function to use
xdelta.
glibc-2.3.2-20031203.tar.xdelta is applied at PRE_BUILD. But, that is a
little hack.
So, that dosen't remove created glibc-20031203.tar file. That is not enough.

To be the best source based distribution, xdelta will be a key
to reduce trancefaring data. Some distributor (ex. kde.org) uses xdelta now.
