If you're using ppp, pppoe or usb ethernet on your SourceMage box, I could
use your help!

I'm currently working on updating the network configuration for
SourceMage. The current work has focused on configuring the
/etc/sysconfig/network directory for standard ethernet connections.

I would like to expand this tool (netconf) to configure ppp and pppoe
setups as well, but have little experience setting up ppp with SourceMage,
and no experience with pppoe. Also, I'm curious if any additional work is
required for setting up usb ethernet devices.

What I'm looking for:

- an overview of how to configure the connections (what files get
modified, what goes in them)

- problems with the current implementation (the ppp setup on all
previous isos allow simple text authentication only, not PAP or
CHAP)

- people willing to test things as I get them done

At this point I'd like to gather this information and a list of people
willing to help test. My top priority is getting a working ethernet
configuration back onto the iso. After that is completed, I'd like to
start expanding to include ppp, pppoe and ipv6.

For more info on what's been done so far, see bug #3531:
