Mark,

I didn't mean to insult, I merely observed what's happening. There's nothing wrong with not reading the rest of messages in the lists, usually people have better things to do. However, In order to to talk about something other than the original poster, you have changed the list from SM-Grimoire to SM-Discuss (why?), but didn't change the subject (why?), and didn't read prior messages under the same subject (why?).
The start of the thread is here: https://lists.ibiblio.org/sympa/arc/sm-grimoire/2002-December/001156.html
Your message has been posted here: https://lists.ibiblio.org/sympa/arc/sm-discuss/2002-December/002283.html
Your message that warranted this remark contained questionable solution to a different problem, and not the right solution to the original problem, which has been beaten to death. The fact that the original problem arising from gettext 0.11.5 change of interface, required to rebuild glibc, has been announced several times in several threads and maybe even in several lists (I don't know that because I get all the lists in one mail folder and don't look which message comes from which list). I know the lists are not searchable and not even in Google, but making a noble effort to help other please extend it to searching lists beforehand anyway.

Sergey.

Was there any need at all for that insulting statement?

And people wonder why I prefer to work alone...

As long as quality of lists doesn't suffer, I'm fine with that :-)
