Response to that depends on what you mean...

Mail-Followup-To is a very different header from Reply-To. And they both
have their place. People need to set Reply-To if the address they're
mailing from isn't routable back to them, but it should only get used for
replies that are addressed to them. If your mailer has problems with just
using Reply-To on group replies or something, it's probably broken. MFT is
usually set as To+Cc+(From|Reply-To)-(sender IFF they're already included
somewhere in the preceeding).

MLs definitely shouldn't set Reply-To, but none of our MLs set reply-to
that I know of. The daemons that *post* to the commits list set reply-to
to the actual email address of the person making the commit, to override
their own address which is used for the From:, because replies to the
daemons are useless. We'd just set the From: address to the committer but
things like SPF don't allow us to do that anymore (remote MXes which insist
on checking SPF will refuse the mail because mail.sourcemage.org isn't
authorized to send for eg mages.ath.cx).

PS: It would be nice if people trimmed their quotes on replies, I don't
need to see the gpg signature verification output from your end, certainly.
:-) :-) :-)
