Funny you should mention, Lawrence - Bear and I actually have a running list of interesting things to look at, install, explore... So if you'd like to add something to our list, feel free. We'll take this on as part of our role.

Actually............. (Martin Naylor might be interested in this):

The concept of how learning happens in a classroom or rather, how it happens
most efficiently and with the greatest and longest lasting value to the
student is
(afaik - [are people who often use lots of acronyms collectively known as
acronies?])
intensely researched.

A local college professor once came up with a method students can use to take
notes
during class (or any lecture) where they are able to quickly organize and
record knowledge
they acquire in a way that will enable them to recall the maximum amount of
it quickly and accurately
when needed at a later time.
I think it is a process of "visualization" during which a symbol is used to
represent a large
chunk of information. Viewing any of these symbols later triggers total
recall of the body of
information associated with them. This system was labelled "Chunking". I
think a book was to be
written based on the class that was taught on this subject. Evidently this
method could be widely
and effectively utilized throughout academia and industry.

Maybe this is old hat and some of you know more about this. I would
appreciate links to resources
if available.
