That is a sad story, it is similar to other stories that I have heard about
around here where groups of Beekeepers are being taken over by "beekeepers"
who support Monsanto.

Illinois illegally seizes Bees Resistant to Monsanto's Roundup; Kills
remaining Queens

By Kristan Harris <kristan@therundownlive.com>

May 27, 2013

*The Illinois Ag Dept.  illegally seized privately owned bees from renowned
naturalist, Terrence Ingram, without providing him with a search warrant
and before the court hearing on the matter, reports Prairie Advocate News
<http://www.pacc-news.com/5-2-12/heart_ingram5_2_12.html>.*

*Behind the obvious violations of his Constitutional rights is Monsanto.
Ingram was researching Roundup’s effects on bees, which he’s raised for 58
years.  “They ruined 15 years of my research,” he told Prairie Advocate, by
stealing most of his stock.*

A certified letter from the Ag Dept.’s Apiary Inspection Supervisor, Steven
D. Chard, stated:

“During a routine inspection of your honeybee colonies by … Inspectors
Susan Kivikko and Eleanor Balson on October 23, 2011, the bacterial disease
‘American Foulbrood’ was detected in a number of colonies located behind
your house…. Presence of the disease in some of your colonies was confirmed
via test results from the USDA Bee Research Laboratory in Beltsville,
Maryland that analyzed samples collected from your apiary….”

Ingram can prove his bees did not have foulbrood, and planned to do so at a
hearing set in April, but the state seized his bees at the end of March.
They have not returned them and no one at the Ag Dept. seems to know where
his bees are.

The bees could have been destroyed, or they could have been turned over to
Monsanto to ascertain why some of his bees are resistant to Roundup.
Without the bees as evidence, Ingram simply cannot defend against the phony
charges of foulbrood.

Worse, all his queens died after Kivikko and Balson “inspected” his
property, outside of his presence and without a warrant.

Of note, Illinois beekeepers are going underground after Ingram’s
experience and refuse to register their hives, in case the state tries to
steal their private property on phony claims.

It is the nicotinoid insecticides made by Bayer Crop Science, used to coat
seeds that becomes systemic in plant tissue, that is primarily implicated
in the loss of bees, as far as I know. That more so than herbicides though
there is no doubt about the effect of roundup on bees.

It is beyond disgusting that pro monsanto "beekeepers" would infiltrate
local Beekeeping groups
and try to pressure the members into accepting pesticide use in agriculture
and ignoring its effect on bees and other valuable creatures so vital to
natural farming systems and local ecologies.

What has happened to the world? Sal can tell us. At times it seems that
Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Mao, Pinochet, Ceauseceau, Milosevic and
others of their kind have risen from the grave to go to work for global
agribusiness corporations using pesticides, gmo's and chemical fertilizers
as they invade country by country, disrupting local ag economies and
traditional natural agro eco systems
by converting local political systems to the best government non-natural
agribiz can buy.

They do it in Europe. US politicians pressuring the French government to
accept intrusion of gmo's into French agriculture; they started doing that
years ago. They must be raining this kind of hell on Ukraine with great
persistence; take over and steal farming in the black earth region,
millions of acres of the world's best farmland. Don't you know their
smelly fat enshrouded jowls are drippping with their foetid saliva over
that morsel! Shades of Cthulhu and The Great Old Ones.

Thanks for the feedback, Rob.
I saw the first dragonfly of the season yesterday, am trying to increase
their colonies; weeks ago less than a hundred bees; today those clouds of
tiny gnat like insects flowing through the morning warm sunlit air.

Lay it down, Sal....
