Is there a rule as to using swales vs. terrace for a slope? I wish to plant fruit trees, my soil is pebbly and sandy loam. My grade varies from 8 - 12% up to 15 -- 20%.
Thank you for any advice or sources of information to pursue the proper landforming tasks to reduce runoff.
