"Batad is a small town lying in the valley of its amphitheather like rice
terraces. An hour drive over rough mountain road from Banaue rice terraces
will get you up to a place called the Saddle. Another hour and a half hike
downhill will get you to the village where you can rent a room for an
overnight stay. From the inn, hiking down to the steep rice terraces and
back is the more difficult part of the adventure. But all these are
worthwhile if you want to see and feel the locals doing there farm chores.
Another place that one can consider going is the Tapia Falls which is about
2 hours hike from the inn over these rice terraces and another mountain
trails."
