We had a pet tarantula that thrived on stink bugs. She got addicted to them and would touch nothing else in the end to the point where she starved herself when winter came and the stink bugs disappeared.
And ducks may have to be trained to eat stink bugs (or any other prey) when they are young. A six month old duck that has never seen and tasted a slug avoids slugs for the rest of it's life in my experience. I have a bunch of chickens here who go crazy for earwigs and that too needed a helping hand.

lol, some bugs are pretty tasty, but stink bugs are pretty nasty even with wasabi or tabasco on them....My ducks wouldn't even eat them.

The first question that comes to my mind is ... Does it taste good with garlic-butter? Sauteed, pan-fried? Or perhaps with a bit of shoyu and wasabi?
