Here is some additional information for those who seek truth rather than
propaganda. Read and decide for yourself. It seems to me that a person with
the extended education Alex Berezow has received would recognize the
implications of an E. Coli that is resistant to a multitude of antibiotics.
Further evidence that hyper-focusing has the unexpected side effect of
making the big picture fuzzy.

"Forensic evidence emerges that European e.coli superbug was bioengineered
to produce human fatalities".

The opinion of an ignorant, inexperienced, completely-sold-out
industry whore. Be aware of Berezow and others like him intent on
influencing food safety regulations from local to federal levels. He
seems to be an editor of RealClearScience; what sort of name is that? No
credible organization would use such a name. So, an idiot like him will
work to influence government policy? Is he on monsanto's payroll?

The other E. coli threat? Raw milk
By Alex Berezow, Special to CNN
June 10, 2011 11:27 a.m. EDT
STORY HIGHLIGHTS

Alex Berezow says Europe's E.coli outbreak a reminder that microbes
lurk in many places
He says the FDA cracked down on interstate transport of Amish raw
milk, banned by federal law
He says serious sickness linked to raw milk, juice sold legally
within states
Berezow: Consuming raw foods risks health. Raw milk and juice
should not be for sale

Editor's note: Alex B. Berezow is the editor of RealClearScience. He
holds a Ph.D. in microbiology.

(CNN) -- The strain of E. coli that has killed at least 25 people and
sickened more than 2,600 others in Europe is a terrifying reminder that
killer microbes lurk in places where we least expect them. Though it is
not a reason to panic, this incident should force us to rethink some
important food safety issues.

One good place to start would be to completely ban the sale of raw milk
and juice.

Read that last sentence a few time over.
