Regenerating Our Future With Seeds From The Past

*Led by Natalie Bogwalker*

We will tap into an understanding of how our ancestors provided for their
needs from the landscape around them. This is a goal that many of us
permaculturalists would love to realize. As the end of oil is upon us, I
find it more important than ever to explore how we can meet our needs in our
area in a low tech and sustainable way. We will focus on local and
ancestral solutions for both meeting our basic needs and thriving in a way
our bodies, hearts, and minds still remember how to do. We will explore the
permaculture principles through the magical and rarely used window of
primitive skills. Food, Fiber, Fire, and Shelter will be touched on.

[image: Natalie Bogwalker] *Natalie Bogwalker* is co-founder and organizer
of the Firefly gathering, an event for people seeking to deepen and expand
their connection with the natural world. Natalie teaches primitive living
skills at many locations, including: Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine,
Earth Connection primitive skills school, Firefly Gathering, Earthskills
Rendezvous, LEAF festival, MAPS Meet, and various school programs. For more

Making Life More Wonderful: Compassionate Communication, Permaculture and
Sustainable Relationships

* Led by Steve Torma *

Compassionate Communication, (also know as Nonviolent Communication) and
Permaculture are two pillars of sustainable culture. NVC provides the tools
for creating emotional and social abundance in the same way permaculture
provides material abundance.

Using presentation, discussion, ritual, song and movement we will explore
the rich synergy of these two powerful systems and learn skills that you can
immediately apply to enriching your inner life, interpersonal life, and
community life.

[image: Steve Torma]*Steve Torma* has gently guided our culture toward
cooperation and regeneration for nearly 30 years. He is President of
Earthaven Ecovillage where he lives his passion for community and
sustainability. He has trained with Marshal Rosenberg (Nonviolent
Communication), Raven Dana (Radical Honesty), Colin Brown (Body Electric),
and Matthew Fox (Creation Spirituality). Through workshops, presentations,
and conversations, and loving support, he has helped hundreds to find
healing, direction, and meaning in their lives. Visit the Real Center
