Howdy, all--
Where are y'all ordering your step-in posts for your moveable
electric fencing, and what are you paying, with what price breaks in
quantity?
I'm thinking of the 48-inch poly and Fiberglas ones by Sun Guard with
the polywire/electric ribbon clips, like Tractor Supply sells:

But am open to other types of step-in posts if folks have a better idea.

I have bought and used virtually every kind of step in post there is. We use lots of them on a daily basis. For one wire with cows my choice is a pigtail post. The pigtails are much easier to pull a polywire with a few knots in it through. You can hold more in your hand and they never break. If they get bent you can bend them back. For calves, sheep or goat multiwire fence my choice is the blue Tredaline. My favorite pigtails were the Gallager Gold foot but they don't make them any longer. I have seen the new Gallager's but haven't used them yet. Next in line is the Powerflex pigtail.
Prices are listed in this link. There are other locations that handle them both. You can probably find someplace closer to you than these guys but it will give you some place to start.
