Sanet -

We should be thankful the The Institute of Science in Society has
picked up the dangers of widespread application glyphosate to
Roundup-Ready crops in addition to GMO seed manipulation.

I should note that letter from Prof. Don Huber was posted on the
FARFA -- Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance -- web page.

FARFA is a non-profit advocacy organization that addresses issues
like GMO (genetically engineered seeds), NAIS (animal identification),
raw milk, and related topics that affect non-corporate agriculture,
family farms, local foods, and consumers.

Howard Vlieger with Verity Farms, a FARFA board member, gave
an excellent presentation on the dangers of GMO at the FARFA
conference in Austin, TX last September.

In addition to the letter from Prof. Don Huber to Secretary of Agriculture
Tom Vilsack, the FARFA web page features a summary from Howard
Vlieger of the public hearing on RR-Alfalfa held on Feb 4, 2011 in
Lincoln, Nebraska.

You'll note that Mr. Vlieger entered three scientific journal articles
that address deleterious effects of GMOs to soil microorganisms and
increased incidence of plant diseases as a consequence of widespread
usage of glyphosate herbicide.

Here are citations and full-text PDF access to these three journal
papers which you can add to your library and to bring to the attention
of farm organizations and public officials.

Anyways, the letter from Prof. Don Huber is astounding.

Likewise, I hope this extra bit of information from FARFA is helpful.
