This video features Heidi Bohan, author of "The People of Cascadia:
Pacific Northwest Native American History"
She has a group of us taste camas, both boiled and prepared the
traditional way: 36 hours in a steam pit.
Camas used to be one of the biggest staple crops of the native
americans. It flourished because it was tended in a very
permaculture-esque fashion.
