Subject: chinese school PDC
Thank you for your time,
My name is Matthew Ryan, I completed a Permaculture design course under
Robyn Francis and collegues a couple of years ago in Nimbin. I am currently
in China developing environmental studies for high schools. With the project
aproved and both students and staff excited to commence. The staff and
students have been relocated temporary for the next 12 months before moving
back to their original school grounds in downtown Suzhou (population 6
million). The buildings will be renovated as the 6 acre plus school is over
1200 years old.
My reason for contacting your institute is because i wish to put all
students through your PDC over the next 12 months, thus establishing a
sustainable platform for thier further education in environmental studies.
The students in question will range from 15 yrs to 17 yrs, beeing in their
last 3 years of high school.
All students are taught in english by foreign teachers and hold great
enthusiasm to their education. I have come to you in search for a suitable
instructor. The 72 hour PDC would be given over the next 12 months, with 9
classes of students recieving 1 to 2 classes aweek.
If we can find a suitable teacher they would be placed on the schools
foreign teachers package, and provided well for. If this teacher has prior
knowledge in not only permaculture but in evironmental sciences or there
equivalent of, further hours will be given in working with a team in
curriculum development.
This is a very exciting project for all members involved and with the
outcome been that near on 300 students will be influenced by permaculture
principals and be in a place not only to use these principals through out
their further education but be in a place to run local work shops providing
education for the needed local communitys.
As Time is of the essance with the new school term approaching I would
apreatiate your reply as soon as possible. Your effort, as in as much as a
simple advertisment through out your instituate would be greatly apreatiated
Thank you very much, hope to talk soon
Matthew Ryan
