Hi-
I thought this email was worth passing on.
Are other permaculture guilds doing something for October 10th?

*********************************************
Announcing a new event for Portland Maine Permaculture!
*What*: 10/10/10 Global Work Party: First Portland Maine Permablitz!
<http://www.meetup.com/portlandpermaculture/calendar/14251993/>
*When*: Sunday, October 10, 2010 8:30 AM
*Where*: Portland location to be chosen....
Save the date! /More details will be coming soon/ but we will be taking
this day to completely transform a residential property in Portland into
a resilient, low-carbon example of sustainable living using the
*Permablitz* model pioneered in Australia and now found all over the
world. This will be an incredible learning opportunity as well as a very
hands-in-the-dirt, get-it-done Work Party.
This event is being coordinated as one of the thousands of 350.org
Global Work Parties happening around the planet on 10/10/10. It will be
followed by a Global Work Party *PARTY* in Portland for all the groups
organizing activities on this day. /Contact LisaF
