Scythe...from either Scythe Supply or Scythe Connection.

Also, I use a sharp shooter shovel for almost all my digging. It must be a "girl" thing...smaller end that goes deeper with minimum force. I've never seen a guy reach for one first, but I always do.

Greetings all,

As the global economy creaks and groans, now might be a good time to invest
in a full set of well-made tools. These tools could be purchased by an
individual, or by a co-op of neighbors who agree to share the tools.

So... What are some of *your *favorite tools? If possible, please list the
company from whom you sourced the tools.

Below is the beginnings of a comprehensive tools list:

**FELCO hand pruning shear
**lopper
**tree pruner (telescoping)
**hedge shear
**metal rake
**brush axe
**pulaski
**double-headed axe
**sledge hammer(s) (small and full-size)
**Haws watering can (metal) [available from Bountiful
Gardens<http://www.bountifulgardens.org>
]
**300' tape
**laser level
**D-handled spade [available from Bountiful Gardens]
**D-handled garden fork [available from Bountiful Gardens]
**compost fork
**flathead shovel
**widger (for transplanting seedlings) [available from Bountiful Gardens]
**cultivator (3-pronged)
**trowel
**transplanter trowel
**wooden garden cart
**digging bar
**horihori
**hand saw(s)

Peace and carrots,
