That'd be lovely, we got very drained very sandy soil. Its true that stopping
up-splash is very important as spores penetrate the undersides of leaves,
hence spraying Bordeaux there not on the tops, mulch good for this, also true
that healthier plants get infected later so lots compost added + some salt to
reduce nibbling of tubers. Happy to try most things so got a Robert Hart
potato heap going and as mentioned planting late.

On a similar note the older Bretons around here often recall how there was no
Colorado beetle here before WW2, during they were taken from school into the
fields to help catch them and clean the crops which were being ravaged, in
the fields they found jars that had contained beetles or their larvae and had
been dropped from Allied aircraft. Maybe just folklore who knows?
