I have grown Fava beans near potatos, but what would be interesting would be
trying to find out what the farmers of the Andes grew in association with
potatos. One thing I do know is that they have over 1,2000 named varieties of
potatos and traditional farmers grow many varieties next to each other. that
alone is probably good insurance against disease.

Has anyone tried creating a Three-Sisters type guild with potatoes,
perhaps with bush beans and/or peas and then maybe white clover between
the rows?
