People on the list who submitted comments regarding this issue might be interested in a recent Bloomberg article:

It sounds as though in response to the large number (3,500) of comments, maybe they're going to back off on pushing this agenda. From the article: "Michael Durando, branch chief of USDA's marketing order administrative branch, said 'there is no firm timeline by any means' for regulators to decide what kind of program would best reduce the risk of contamination in salad greens."
