A resource that you might find useful as a starting point is "Farming for Bees," a set of guidelines about providing habitat for native bees in agricultural landscapes that we produced. You can download a PDF file from our web site or purchase a copy from us. For details of both methods, go to http://www.xerces.org/pubs_merch/xerces_publications.htm and scroll down until you find it. There is also a series of fact sheet available about specific crops.
These publications about about native bees, which can be more efficient pollinators of some crops than honey bees. If you are interested in honey bees (your email mentioned jarring, so maybe these are your main interest), I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere!
Best wishes,
Matthew
