Trudie
No one is perfect. Thomas Jefferson wrote about and was quite
aware of the need to abolish slavery. You might find Ron Paul's comments
on the Civil War very interesting. The United States was the only
country that resolved the slavery issue by going to war. Great Britain
accomplished this without shedding an ounce of blood as did other
nations. Also, how Jefferson's white descendents deal with their
heritage (denial) has nothing to do with the problems facing our nation
today (other than most Americans are steeped in denial on many issues)
or the importance of Ron Paul's message to the American people.

Yikes, you mean the Thomas Jefferson who owned slaves for many years,
the man whose "white " descendents have refused to recognize his "black"
descendents?

... For me supporting and voting for
this man is like having Thomas Jefferson in the 2008 election.
Permaculture=an Agrarian Society=Jefferson's vision for the
republic=power to the people living in harmony with nature.
Sincerely
