Musée International d'Horlogerie
The Musee International d'Horlogerie was founded in 1902. It moved to its present location in 1974, a building that is largely underground. The museum contains over 3,000 items including timepieces, tools, machines, and paintings that illustrate man's quest for time. Since 1989 the MIH has been part of the Institut l'homme et le temps, which also includes the Restoration Centre for old watches and clocks for private customers and an Interdisciplinary Centre for Research into Time, which is open to people carrying out research.
