Hi Michael

I think you have overreacted just a tad. :)

I actually posted the note containing the word negative to you alone and an abbreviated version (without the phrase) to this list. Specifically because I know reactions like yours occur easily on the net. And I also followed up with this private note to you to specifically indicate I was happy with your interest and positive towards you and your work.

"Hi Michael

I've stuck a notice on our courses section re your courses this year.

http://www.ecoresources.com.au/ptv2/page22/page22.html

Hope it gets you a few more attendees. If you ever want to notify us of a course to list you can do it here.

http://www.ecoresources.com.au/ptv2/page22/page63/page63.php

cheers"

I'm therefore surprised to read this mini rant and will regard it as a misunderstanding. I hope you agree. I've posted this on the list so everyone else will understand what happened. And it would be great if you still want to participate.

best wishes

I didn't thnk I was being negative. I'm excited about the idea. I would like
to put the permaculture swiki on my site. I thought you'ld like to know that I
couldn't find the source code or your listing. How is informing you of
problems being negative? Would it be better for me to keep quiet and forget
the whole swiki thing? I thought I was helping. My bad. I'll back off.

Hi Michael

Here is the link you need to get the code to post on your site.

The reason you did not find it in their list (hand edited) of public
sites is because the swiki people have not entered it yet in their
directory To new. Despite that, the actual swiki exists and works
well as several hundred people have found already.

Michael I thought your message was pretty negative though I'm pleased
you want to give it a try. Remember it is an experiment. :)

BTW this list (as per another message) is now part of the searched
sites.

When I g o to the site looking for info about pasting the swiki
searchbar on my site I find nothing, BUT worse, when I search for
"permaculture" to find your swiki, it turns up nothing.

Hi everyone.

Please participate in an experiment with me! You have probably heard
of the permaculture wiki. I have just created the Permaculture Swicki
(a search wiki) which can be optimised by you just like any other
wiki. This is a search engine that learns from our community's search
behavior and is specifically relevant to permaculture. It apparently
gets better with use and is pointed at all the major permie sites.

If you have a website or blog you can also post the swicki searchbox
and buzzcloud (working example below) on your own site. This will
grow the permaculture swicki community and increase the learning
effect. Give it a try as a searcher or as a webmaster. Searches seem
really spot on to me. What do you think?

Here is the address as a URL. http://permaculture-
swicki.eurekster.com/

cheers
