Hello Friends

While I look foward to seeing you all at the events this month, we want to invite everyone to this free environmental lecture and workshop at Guilford College this weekend. Below is the description of the weekend activties and attached a thorough summary of the workshop. Please contact Natan Harrel at the number below for more inquires. Thanks
Megan @ Deep Roots Market

It is a workshop called "Ecological Consciousness: Exploring our Sense of
the Sacred, Learning to Live Well with the Earth". It will be facilitated
by Andrew Faust, a 1990 Guilford graduate and instructor in sustainable
farming and building techniques. Andrew's description of the workshop is
attached. The workshop will focus on the spiritual connection to studying
and utilizing ecological and evolutionary processes with the expressed
purpose of creating healthy human settlements. Andrew's work over the
weekend will also include two evening lectures.

The workshop will take place in Boren Lounge (in Founders Halls) on April
15th and 16th. ON both days, the workshop will begin at 10 o'clock in the
morning and end at around 4:30 in the afternoon with an hour lunch break
around noon. The evening lectures will be in Bryan Junior Auditorium
(Frank Family Science Center) on both days starting at 6:00PM and ending at
8:00. Both the workshop and lecture are open to anyone who wants to come
and are free of charge.

Participants will learn to design ecologically intelligent ways of living
through: reading, restoring, and creating abundance in soil, plant, and
watershed systems; creating self-maintaining, food-providing, multipurpose
ecosystems from vegetable gardens to orchards; and incorporating natural
building/bioregional designs for regenerating local economies and local
ecologies.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks so much,

Natan Harel
