Concerning the first flush diversion, instead of the pinhole or loosened
thread methods of slowly draining the standpipe use a section of drip
irrigation pipe that has the 10 gallons per hour per 1000 sq ft flow rate.
The DI pipe can then be opened at the end and flushed after the storm.
