Any system that liquefies manures, particularly offensive ones from
omnivores like people or pigs, needs to include an aerobic stage.
Anaerobic systems are great for harvesting biogas, but are quite offensive
and leave a residue that requires further treament. A good way to render this
residue sweet and useful for soil amendments-- even if you don't first
harvest
the gas-- is to hook up a pump that sucks from the bottom of your tank and
sprays it onto the top. This way the anaerobic bottom layer gets mixed with
air
and circulates the entire volume of the tank. In time, magic occurs and you
have
no longer shit, but shinola.
