Wow, I had no idea. My advice to spread it around is not good advice at that
concentration. In the past I have sprinkled a 1/2 tsp or so in
transplanting holes for tomatoes and/or peppers in less than good soil.
Greens'em up good and they really seem to like it. However, at the foot bath
concentration, it is most likely doing more harm than good. I would imagine
that if the soil is healthy, it would recover from a fungicide pretty
rapidly with no great harm done. Still, it may be best to add it to the
septic/sewer system rather than the soil. Or dilute the heck out of it.

Does the anti-fungal property come from the sulfate or the magnesium or
both?
