Not sure about electric fences per se, but generally :
- heavier breeds ( as opposed to bantams) are more sedentary
- if the eating is good, they are in no hurry to look elsewhere
-they need and will look for shade and somewhere to perch
- consider predators from above ( hawks eagles)
I guess you could stack the last three by providing a shady-perch-protection unit of some kind....
Let me know how it goes, my chicken tractoring has not been all that successful and this may be a better alternative.
