Also, does anyone happen to know of any websites dealing with taxonomic
info? It'd be great if there were a database where you could work your way
through leaf shape, stem shape, flower type, etc and be able to figure out
what a plant was....

is an attempt to cover species (and higher taxonomic names) for the
entire world. The author's name is given for each taxon and a literature
citation for where it was published.

The Ortho Online Rose Garden

Wyoming Rare Plants Guide

A wonderful guide with pictures, descriptions, and diagnostic drawings
to help anyone know the rare plants of Wyoming. I wish all geographic
areas had a Web site like this. They even have a downloadable
version. Hosted by the USGS.

The Sloane Herbarium

collected during Sloane's voyage to Jamaica (1687 - 1689).

The Paul Hermann Herbarium
