For spam mail catching I'm using SpamAssassin
http://spamassassin.org/. Its catching about 30-40 spams
a day. Getting about one false positive a week but
letting through about 5 spams a day.
Likewise, second that - works very well; quite possibly the best spam
filter out there. Mine is pretty much default settings, though I did have
to raise the spam score threshold a bit because too many messages to this
list were ending up in my caught-spam folder...

The other option is set up procmail or you mail client so that
any email from permaculture-requests is passed through. In procmail
its something like

p.s. out of interest how many spams are others on the
list receiving?
I donĀ¹t receive any spam from being on this list...perhaps my isp catches
it, I am not sure. I am on a Mac...i wouldn't think that would make a
difference, but maybe it does.

Just so people don't get scared. This list is remarkably spam
free, unlike some other list.
I was refering to spam sent to me because my email address
is printed all over the pfaf website. Hence it gets in
every spamers list going.
