here's a quick list of just such things which we make at dreamtime:

hard shell gourds (lageneria): music instruments (guitar, banjo, sax, drums, zither, nail violin) , bird & bat houses, containers, wine casks, dildos, flotation for gill netting (havent done that one myself), planters, water dippers...

mock bamboo (polygonum): flutes, wind chimes, tonic

local woods: djembes & ashiko drums

willow: woven living kiva

black walnut husks: my son uses for hair dye occasionally (Id be weary of repeated use).

comfrey: living mulch, salve, poultice, gley (havent tried this one, but layers of comfrey seem to bond together in a very plastic way)

prairie mimosa: temperate north american ayahuasca (st john's wort: mao inhibitor?)

grape vine: baskets & strapping, good for weaving shelters with other materials too.

subsoil clay: music instruments (ocarinas, flutes, water whistles), dinnerware & jugs

my son has also made a lot of herbpaper using mugwort, echinacea, dry lint, old clothes
