***I realize that your comments were just top of mind.
But I find that often PC is laced with such seemingly
good ideas. However, now that I've finally
left the city to start life on the farm. I'm finding
PC, sustainable ag far more difficult to APPLY on the
farm than I'd imagined, especially without
lots of
help.****

There is also the idea in permaculture to start small,
working only the land you can handle. I have a couple
of city-slicker friends helping me out in my little
garden, bless their good hearts, and they are always a
lot more ambitious in their goals than I am. Then we
get going and the reality of the work brings us into a
more modest mindset.

I don't think it would really be feasible for just one
person to manage a large farm under PC principles. So
you could try agisting some areas while you work on
others, getting more labour through wwoofing or here
in Brisbane I'm involved with Northey Street City farm
that has a lot of help through "Work for the Dole"
project.

Gotta run. Cheers and good luck.
Sal
