URBAN PERMACULTURE: A WORKSHOP IN SEATTLE

~ When: June 29 & 30, 2002, 9:00am - 5:00pm
~ Where: Seattle area venues (field sites may vary)
~ Tuition: $125 (includes all fees and refreshments)
~ Registration: On-line at [www.lsdg.net] or call 206-546-3119

~ Instructors: Michael Broili, Jonathan Scherch, & friends
~ Host: Living Systems Design Guild, LLC

This fun two-day workshop will introduce principles and methodologies
of Permaculture Design with an emphasis on urban, low-impact design
and sustainable community development. By working with nature’s
rhythms and patterns, permaculture creates a stable society by utilizing
resources in ways that are ecologically sound, economically viable, and
socially responsible. Join us and learn about how to transform your home,
neighborhood, and community into beautiful, resource-rich, and
multi-FUNctional habitats--easily, inexpensively, and in harmony with the
natural world.

Appropriate for both experienced and novice designers, the workshop is
an excellent primer for those who have yet to complete our certification
course series (or those offered elsewhere). Upon completion, all
participants will be adequately prepared to enroll in our summer
Living Systems Design II certification course (to begin July 13th --
see our website [www.lsdg.net] for details).

Combining their various skills in permaculture, urban sustainability,
natural building, and community development, Mike Broili,
Jonathan Scherch, and friends will share a holistic approach to
design across the two-day workshop. Through lively discussion,
field trips, and hands-on learning, participants will gain insights
about practical skills, technologies, and examples for designing
and implementing their own integral, sustainable systems.

Come, explore, and design with us!
