Hi,
my name's Sean. I've been playing with pc for the past couple of years. In
1999, I received training at Linnaea Farm--a remote place on a little
island off the west coast of Canada. Since then, I've been doing bits of
design work and research for urban homeowners, most of whom have only a
couple thousand square feet. Did one design for a couple who had got Merv
Wilkonson to advise on logging their ten acres. But by far the most
engaging project was the year-end assignment for my program at Linnaea.
Each of two teams came up with a complete design package for a restaurant
sitting on a couple acres of sandy, broom-infested land. They wanted full
vegetable sufficiency, with some small livestock. I'll cut the tale here,
however, unless it becomes pertinent after I'm familiar with the list.

Otherwise, I've dallied on community garden plots and in the backyards of
my itinerant life. Finally, however, I've found a place which I hope to
rent for several years while I attend school. It has a big, south facing
backyard with little else living on it but for patchy grass, thistles,
dock, morning glory, buttercup and similar delights. Not even the birds
come to visit.

I have begun to put down on paper how I'd like this to look at the end of
a decade. The most enjoyable prospect for me, however, is convincing my
landlord of the feasability of the project (and the ease of clean up when
I move on)--and then convincing my neighbour, with whom I share this
duplex, to allow me full reign over the entire back yard. Here's hoping.

Looking forward to future discussions.
Regards,
Sean
