Our experience has been in a dry-ish part of Australia (650mm rain per year)
with an Australian product called Auswool. The woollen batts are fantastic to
use - no health worries, and only slightly more expensive.
We have no problems with bugs as far as we can tell. Everything I have heard
about infestation is second hand and unsubstantiated. If there were problems,
companies like Auswool would be out of business!
