I second the electric fence suggestion. I've had mine ten years now.
If you are in the woods and run the wires between trees its almost invisible.
If you do this, nail up the insulators with realy long nails, 4-6 inches
with only about an inch penetration of the tree. If you nail them snug the
tree
grows and squashes the insulators. Don't ask me how I know this... :-)
