i thought Spock recently said that his early books were only good for
hitting the little brats with!
"from one who escaped Spocks righteousness by having parents who couldn't afford the book  ;>"
and no you can't talk about dikes like that, naughty boy slap your wrist! -
my proximity to Sydney (gay capital of the world?)
makes me politically (aware) correct on that subject too ;>

lets all lighten up, ignore the grouchies, they too have a purpose, respect the diversity.
this permaculture list has had a surge of infighting over the
years, and usually i am in there with the wild look and tangled hair.
but i have much to do,
and further to go.
April

recent update for those who are still interested in permaculture things.
we have had some minor earthworks and re-discovered our spring, finally.
it had been trampled into the ground by cattle (previous owner-not us)
our rainforest soil cannot bear hard hoofed animals not matter what
Alan Savoury will tell you.
the compaction is finally starting to ease after 5 years!!
i can almost attempt to dig a 8inch hole within an hour.
we also had the old duck pond re-dug but they avoid it totally!! it seems they fear steep slippery edges. so do i, to be honest so i shall re-fill it with the loose clay, now that i
know it does hold water, it won't matter if i fill it a little.
I realised i simply cannot line any ponds here that will be accessed by the ducks because
i will not be able to clean out the tremendous collection of duck waste without risk of piercing the lining.
i intend to create a formal walled pond next (out of a burst waterbed lining)
that the ducks won't be able to jump into.
in this i can grow all those water plants they love to eat before i get to eat them.

Yesterday one of my design client's sister challenged me asking "do i really think you can win over kikuyu
permanently?"  i has very pleased to be able to site my own entire front yard!!

lets lead by example - AND  lets get more examples!!
April
