Good points, Vint... seems another 'both', since the 'structures' Martha
mentioned (which actually show varying levels of visibility) do exist as
semi-permanent energy flows and event-probabilities moving across, and
impacting, many urban landscapes. Perhaps even more than being simply
invisible structures, crime and pollution (neither are invisible when they
are in your face) are the RESULT of faulty invisible structures. They can
also be called the natural result of type one errors of previous designs
("What happens if we cram way too many rats -- er, humans -- into too-small
cages?"). Semantics, though -- so few of Life's events are comfortably
box-shaped!
