I've just started a new list to discuss ecological lifestyles
and Permaculture which focuses on daily connections, activities,
and individuals rather than community. The intent is to reach
people where they are currently standing and provide a path
with less barriers. The destination is still Permaculture,
but entry is through a different door.
If anyone is interested in discussing the following topics i
would welcome their input on ECOPATH.
1. Does the Permaculture design process appear intimidating
and restrict its actual implementation? Possible indicators
of this would be the number of people who consider themselves
living Permaculture versus the number who feel it is beyond
their reach given present conditions.
2. Does focusing on community hide the problem of developing
individuals who can fit in an alternative community? In other
words, should we focus on individual growth paths and use that
as a stepping stone for community development.
Here is the welcome message for ECOPATH. At present it is a
few days old and no discussions have started yet.

Welcome to the ECOPATH list. The focus of this list is living
sustainable ideas. It is not about changing others or political
activism. The basic questions are: what is an ecopath? How can it
be done? Why do it? Of course, each person is unique and
the answers will vary, but the vision and techniques can be shared.
