Title: Green Books, publishers & distributors

available titles, and also those due in late Autumn & Winter 97. Green
Books is a small independent publishing company, whose aim is to inform
and inspire the general reader about ecological, spiritual and cultural
issues of our time. We usually publish between four and eight new titles
each year, and also distribute selected titles from two like-minded US publishers:
Chelsea Green Publishing Company of White River Junction,
Vermont, who publish in the field of Sustainable Living, including renewable
energy, organic gardening and ecological building; and Council Oak
Books of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who specialise in native American culture,
consciousness, ecology and spirituality. How to buy (and where to browse) our books:You can order through this web site, but we don't yet have a secure server (coming soon). If you want to buy direct from us, it's probably best to phone or fax us (01803 863843 / +44 1803 863843 outside the UK) with your order, which we will normally despatch within 24 hours. In the UK: We sell through high street booksellers, green retailers such as some health food shops, and by direct mail. In the USA: As from Spring 1998, new & recent titles and some backlist titles will be available through Chelsea Green Publishing Company (see above). Elsewhere: We have various distributors overseas - please contact us for latest details. In case of difficulty you can always order direct from us, or through your local bookseller. If you are a green retailer in the UK, and you don't already sell our books, please contact us! Email us, or phone Paul Rossiter on 01803 863260. We have some lovely handmade bookstands available (see left) for loan to retailers who don't have bookshelves to display our titles.
