Mandala gardens could make it easier to create and maintain mini edge
zones that border crop areas which could greatly enhance their
vitality. Those zones could be left for plants and other lifeforms or
mulched but in any event would likely contribute greatly to soil life
in the cropping areas. It seems that with rectangular, round or square
raised beds or row cropping this would be more difficult to
accomplish, might take up more room and would decrease the amount of
edge zone that directly borders crop beds.
The connectivity of segments of mandala gardens with adjacent mandala
gardens offers many interesting possibilities.
