So...assistance with what? What do these commercial farmers want assistance with? What does WSF mean by 'assisting commercial farmers' in some way that's in line with their intent? What kind of assistance is WSF intending to offer them? (via PIW and other grantees...)

OK Stephanie,
The only way I can see that this would be meaningful would be from a research perspective ie by creating whole systems approach to a given target plant ie corn we will be able to determine, once and for all, the performance of a crop when it includes all of the related fauna and flora of the original guild ie the conditions that existed when corn was Teocinte as opposed to when it is grown as a lonely monocrop without it friends.
