Hi Elizabeth,

Hate to hear it...it's a very hard time for bees this time of year and
especially with these extreme weather shifts. It's sad, but normal to see
smaller, but starting to grow colonies like yours die off. Had one myself
last week.

I think you were trying to say "foulbrood"?

If so I'd say not to worry. Moisture then cold will make larvae look just
like that. Scrape those sections out or use a knife and just cut out the dead
bees and larvae. Then freeze for 2 days. You can do what every ou want after
that. If you are placing on another hive let it warm up first. Don't put a
semi frozen super over a colony.

Also semi frozen wax is as fragile as glass til warmed. Be care with it.
