That looks quite similar, the largest fruit is about 1 inch long. I didn't pay much attention to pits, but I didn't feel any when I removed the bizarre fruits.
Much of the fruit, even on this tree/bush is normal. I just hope it doesn't spread and kill the whole bush.
It doesn't look like there is any witches broom type damage going on at this
point.

We had the same thing on only one of our Nankings this year as well, never
before. Last year, we had some brown rot and removed all of the affected
fruit that we could find. This year, a handful of the fruits grew huge and
banana-shaped about 2 weeks ago, so we removed them as well. They fruits
were dry and hollow inside with no flesh or seeds.
To me it looks very similar to plum pocket/pocket plum which I have also
seen on some local plums this year. Dan, if your fruit looks similar,
maybe it is *taphrina pruni*?

Probably brown rot, usually not a major problem with Nanking cherries even
though some fruits get infected.

I have several Nanking Cherry bushes that fruited well last year and haveset fruit well this year also.
But, I notice that quite a few fruits appear elongated and misshapen withsome greyish or brown discoloration.
Does anyone know what this is, and what I should do about it?__________________
