you do want to refer to before hitting reply. That gives me a reply
window that includes only the bit that I highlighted.
and I bet there are very few mail programs that don't do it these days.
Click and drag your mouse over the part you need to comment on ( to
highlight it) and then hit reply and write YOUR messgae.

Especially, if the message thread has gone on for many entries
and needs no repeating. Most posters observe this courtesy.
However, I think the digest posting is totally irrelevant and only
appears because the poster does not know how to post it
otherwise. Sure, there are several fixes for it, but I wanted to
point out that they should not be necessary, in the first place.
