I have done work for Lon removing blackberry canes from in between
some wild understock pyrus betulafolia for pear. I continue doing it
because to me it's fun doing stuff like that free as I no longer live on
the farm I grew up on. It might be fortunate to you to know that I know
where the plum species is that your talking about.
So I know Lon has one Prunus munsoniana which is classed that way by
species. There's no question to me where the tree is located. It has an
unusual bloom period which usually misses the flowers of apricot and
salicina plum trees nearby. If anyone needs more information from me
that I need to ask the family before going there for you you're welcome
to (for now) take them through me. I'm going to schedule maintenance
over there this week some time.
Rupert.
