A. deliciosa on A. arguta grafts will take easily, but will start to
decline after a couple of years, and eventually fail due to
incompatibility. A. kolomikta does not seem to have any compatibility
problems with ohter species, and can be used, but is not very vigorous. If
you want to graft to an A. arguta stock, then you could try using A.
kolomikta as an interstem.
