Another plus for considering Siberian Peashrub is it doesn't sucker, doesn't
even really seem to sprout from seed under the plants. It can be pruned in
anywhich way. I do agree tho that under fruit trees herbaceous legumes make
the most sense. I put a mix of alsike white color, mammouth red clover,
creeping fescue & winter rye in my new orchard planting. (Plus the
landscape is peppered with peashrubs.) I also notice it attracts a lot of
bumblebees during flowering.
